Location: North Aylesbury (Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE + benefits package to be discussed at interview

Due to the increasing scope and workload on the HS2 Project, my client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team. You will manage significant subcontract packages valued at £4-5 million, delivering essential elements of civil engineering work, including earthworks, drainage, highways, structures, and more.
You will have autonomy over your packages and be responsible for commercial success, including subcontractor management, prolongation claims, and extensions of time.
As Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
·Managing subcontract packages independently (approx. £4-5 million)
·Handling NEC contracts and related claims (prolongation, EOTs)
·Managing the supply chain and subcontractors
·Monitoring costs and budgets
·Reporting and forecasting
·Supporting the project team in ensuring the commercial success of the works
Requirements:
·Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (5+ years)
·Strong experience with NEC contracts
·Experience managing subcontract packages valued at around £4m
·Background in heavy civils (preferably highways, rail, water, or energy sectors)
