This Quantity Surveyor role offers the chance to work closely with respected Local Government and Charity clients on long-term frameworks, while also contributing to the success of wider, large-scale developments. You'll be supported to progress your career and develop towards MRICS accreditation if you're not already chartered.
What you'll be doing
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:
·Take responsibility for cost management across all project stages, from inception through to completion.
·Work on large or multiple projects simultaneously, providing strategic advice to clients and stakeholders.
·Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and cost plans, with accuracy and attention to detail.
·Manage tender processes, analyse returns, and advise clients on procurement and contract terms.
·Deliver robust post-contract cost control, including variation analysis and final account settlements.
·Support business development activity and maintain strong client relationships.
·Work with modern digital tools such as CostX, and engage with BIM and AI-led estimating processes.
·Provide clear and timely financial reporting to keep projects on track.
What you'll bring
To excel in this Quantity Surveyor position, you will have:
·A RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
·Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on building or infrastructure projects.
·A solid understanding of construction methodologies, cost estimation, and contract administration.
·Ideally, progress towards MRICS accreditation (support can be provided).
·Confidence using CostX and an interest in digital and innovative methods of cost management.
·Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and analytical thinking.
·Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
·A proactive, professional, and detail-oriented approach.
