My client are a large utilities contractor, working in the telecoms market. They install and connect Fibre connections for large IPS's across the UK.
 
 
They are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a temp to perm basis to help the delivery team to deliver the required outputs and identify areas of improvement. You will need an understanding of contract cost and value.
 
This is a great opportunity to join a great company in the West of Glasgow, being paid a competitive wage. You will be split between working from the office and from home. The hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm.
 
The role:
 
·Engage with the supply chain and negotiate rates
·Ensure WIP remains within threshold
·Utilise the schedule of rates to maximise value
·Provide cash flow forecasts
·Weekly reporting on key cost areas
·Resolve application rejections
 
 
Knowledge, skills and qualification requirements:
 
·MS Office knowledge
·Ability to work independently and as a team
·Confident in generating accurate reports
·Ability to lead conversations with supply chain and negotiate the best deals
·Ability to pick up bespoke IT systems
·Full UK Driving License
·Degree in Quantity Surveying
·Experience in NEC4
·Experience in Utilities (Desirable)
