About the Role:
My client are seeking a commercially-minded Civil Engineer with a strong technical background and an interest in stepping into project management. Based in Southampton, this hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will manage project delivery, liaise with international clients, and ensure commercial success across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage and deliver multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
·Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
·Maintain regular communication with clients, including overseas visits every 2-3 months.
·Identify and mitigate project risks while exploring commercial opportunities.
·Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
·Support the development of proposals and tenders, demonstrating a strong understanding of client needs.
·Drive innovation and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
About You:
·Experience: 5+ years in the Civil Engineering industry, with exposure to infrastructure projects.
·Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and stakeholders effectively.
·Commercial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets, contracts, or tender processes is highly desirable.
·Mindset: A problem-solver with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to project delivery.
·Flexibility: Willingness to travel overseas occasionally (approximately once every 2-3 months, mostly Europe).
