Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead and manage a critical project for Sizewell. This role will require you to be the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring that all project activities are aligned with the program's goals and timelines. Your role will involve close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including programmers, designers, information managers, and external subcontractors.

This position is an initial 6 month contract and our client is looking for someone on a part-time basis for 3 days per week ideally. There is scope to work more hours. This will be a fully remote role, with ad-hoc office travel to London when required. This position falls outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

·Client Liaison: Serve as the direct point of contact for the client, ensuring clear communication and maintaining a strong, collaborative relationship throughout the project lifecycle.
·Programme Management: Collaborate with the Programme Manager, who will own and update the P6 programme, and the Design Manager to monitor progress. Proactively mitigate delays by identifying and addressing resource issues, and escalating concerns to Directors as needed.
·Information and BIM Management: Work alongside the Information Manager/BIM Manager to develop and implement the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP). Ensure that all project deliverables are in line with the MIDP requirements.
·Civil and Highway Project Awareness: Maintain a strong understanding of civil and highway project deliverables and timelines. Use this knowledge to engage in informed discussions with the client's Project Management team.
·Change Control Management: Log and manage change control processes, facilitating discussions with the client. This will be done in collaboration with the Design Manager and Directors to ensure all changes are efficiently handled.
·Team Management: Oversee and manage the Assistant Project Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of the scheme.

Qualifications & Experience:

·Proven experience in project management within the civil or highway engineering sectors, preferably with experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
·Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, including proficiency with P6 programme management.
·Demonstrated experience in client liaison and stakeholder management.
·Familiarity with BIM processes and experience in delivering against MIDP requirements.
·Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
·A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks.
