An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a busy client in London. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £300 - £350 per day - negotiable for the right candidate.  Flexible working arrangements are available.
 
Key responsibilities:
·Develop and deliver work programmes to implement Council policies and strategies, including input to the council's Asset Management Plan and other relevant bidding, strategy and monitoring documents, including the Asset Management Plan.
·Provide specialist advice and professional guidance, undertaking research, evaluation, analysis, design and implementation of schemes, projects and programmes of all degrees of complexity as allocated. This includes multi-disciplinary project management expertise to oversee varied work programmes of importance to the division that are assigned including projects funded by major external stakeholders such as town centre public realm schemes.
·Provide a commercial focus and develop and implement work practices that provide value for money and operational efficiency including the use of different delivery models including shared services.
·Provide a customer focus on delivering the work programmes and represent the Council at discussions with key stakeholders including members, committee panels, transport operators and emergency services. This will include providing first point of contact, maintaining high quality responses and managing the expectations of the various stakeholders.
·This role provides professional engineering services in the management of the Council's largest asset.
 
About you:
You must have experience of working at a Project Manager level within a Local Authority. Highway experience is also essential.
