Project manager
 
Our client is a large Power company, that works across vast areas of Scotland on the transmission, distribution, and connection of UK Power. They work to get traditional and green energy to people's homes and ensure the successful running of this process. They are a great employer and are currently recruiting in the Security Division of their business.
 
The client is looking for someone to work in national remit, with local Glasgow and Merseyside bases, who will be responsible for the groups of projects being developed and implemented within my client's Security and Fire Capital Investment Programme. They will need to ensure consistency with company strategy, budget, commitment, and goals.
Pay rates for this role will be between £350+ per day - UMB.
 
Role
·Management, coordination, execution, and completion of all fire and security installations including upgrades for projects for different remote sites.
·Health and safety documentation development.
·Bid assessment and tender selection involvement.
·Be the lead for planning, timelines, implementation, and delivery.
·Aid and coordinate project scope and goals.
·Use group standard projects framework and methods to define project tasks and resource requirements.
·Liaise with Security and Fire liaison officers and site managers while projects are being executed.
·Full-scale project plan development using pre-existing templates.
·Contractor resourcing and budgeting
·Liaising with managers, head of physical security, performance and contract managers, and head of technical.
·Track deliveries and use appropriate reporting to correct managers.
·Manage H&S of the project while representing the Client.
·Monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects to all relevant stakeholders including agreed timelines.
·Deliver all projects within assigned budgets.
·Manage project changes and interventions.
·Quality assurance.
·Update reporting on the project as required.
Requirements
·Knowledge of both theoretical and practical qualities of Project management.
·Proven experience and knowledge of appropriate Health and Safety Legislation, involving CDM Regulations.
·Skilled in Project Management techniques and tools.
·Direct work experience in Project Management.
·Proven experience in People Management, Risk Management, and Change Manage.
·Proficient in Microsoft office software including MS Project 2010 Standard.
·Experience in Stakeholder Management.
·Pro-active approach to problem-solving.
·Confidence and ability to constructively challenge at Mid to Senior Management Level.
·Excellent planning and logistic skills.
·Excellent influencing skills at all levels.
·Expert Health and Safety knowledge.
·Substantial experience in Project Management.
·Good financial skills in relation to project expenditure.
·Full current driving license.
·Flexible to work on any site for the client.
