Role: Process & MEICA Design Lead - Water Sector
Location: Chester
Rate: £400 p/d

Are you someone who has multi-disciplinary design management experience?
Do you have experience working in Clean, waste or industrial Water?
 
We are currently working with a forward thinking consultancy currently growing their UK arm covering design projects for domestic clean and waste water plants as well as select industrial projects in the region.
 
Responsibilities
·Deliver an exceptional client experience for new and existing clients.
·Provide technical leadership and support to project design teams for Industrial Water treatment facility studies, design and construction services.
·Lead our cross-discipline engineers undertaking project investigations, feasibility studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design work and report writing.
·Deliver technical outcomes on water & wastewater projects.
·Develop facilities layouts in conjunction with discipline teams & CAD designers.
·Conduct client site visits for project scoping, data collection and project delivery.
·Manage the design across several small to medium sized projects concurrently.
·Collaborate and build relationships with other GHD offices and teamsContinuously networking with colleagues and peers across GHD & in the industry
 
Experience & Background
·Experience and knowledge of Clean & wastewater treatment processes.
·Experience in progressive design build project delivery, general contractor or technology provider.
·Proven experience in delivering multi discipline water industry design projects and good understanding of UK industry standards.
·Able to deliver an exceptional client experience to construction contractors and water companies. An interest in business development is well received.
·The ability to plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met.
·A proactive and collaborative attitude.
·Flexible with great communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently
·Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
 
Skills and Experience
·Degree in Engineering or relevant qualifications.
·Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience with clients within the region.
·Working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body
·Experience in mentoring junior members of the team
·Knowledge of practices and procedures used within the water, chemical, manufacturing or energy sectors would be an advantage
