An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer with experience in Highways and Traffic to join a client in London. Your main duties include design and implementation of active travel schemes such as walking and cycling as well as public ream improvement, parking and traffic management projects. Other duties include leading a team of traffic engineering professionals, managing external contractors and consultants and liaising with councillors and members of the public.
 
This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £42 - £45 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working and working from home arrangements are available.
 
Working within the Highways team your main duties include:
·Design, implementation and delivery of active travel and traffic schemes
·Prioritisation of work loads including public realm improvement, parking and traffic management projects   
·Leading a team of traffic engineering professionals
·Managing external consultants and contractors
