Principal Planning Officer - North West
 
I am recruiting for my LPA client in the North-West as they search for an experienced Principal Planning Officer to join their busy development management team on an initial 3-month contract.
 
It is essential to possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the development control process, planning legislation and national and regional planning guidance. You must also have Experience in dealing with a wide range of planning applications including complex and potentially contentious planning applications, environmental improvement initiatives/schemes and experience of planning appeals.
 
The are is undergoing a wide range of regeneration projects so knowledge of regeneration related projects/applications would be beneficial. You will be working with public and private stakeholders, the wider community and voluntary sectors and be responsible for leading pre-application discussions.
 
Attendance at Planning Committee meetings and occasional attendance at other meetings outside normal working hours - at evenings and at weekends - may be required.
 
A pay rate of £45 per hour (Inside IR35) is on offer for the candidate who fits the experience required.
