Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Midlands in their search for a Principal Planning Officer. The contract will be for an initial 6-month period (extensions likely) and is being offered on an OUTSIDE IR35 basis.
 
We are looking for an experienced Planning Specialist with recent local authority experience and the ability to hit the ground running. The key purpose is to manage major applications including residential  applications between 100-400 units as well as industrial applications.
 
Our client is willing to offer a flexible working situation, with an expectation of site visits once a fortnight (As and when needed).

It would be beneficial to have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in town planning and be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
