Principal Officer- Environmental Health
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer- Environmental Health co-ordinate, supervise, monitor and manage the operational work and performance of a team of professional officers  
 
The main duties of the Principal Officer- Environmental Health is:
·To carry out the enforcement of all relevant provisions of trading standards and environmental health legislation.
·To provide advice and education to the public and businesses on trading standards and environmental health/public health issues.
·To provide advice to the public, trade and businesses on environmental health and related public protection issues.
 
The Principal Officer- Environmental Health will have the following qualifications:
·BSc in environmental health or an equivalent qualification approved by the chartered institute of environmental health and current registration with the Environmental health officers registration board.
·A full, valid driving license and preferably access to a vehicle.
·Availability for evening and weekend work
 
This role requires office presence 2-3 days per week.
