My client is currently seeking a Principal Highway Engineer to join their Roads and Highways Group in Reading, Ashford, Birmingham, or Edinburgh although they can consider candidates across any of their UK offices. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and ambitious group with a strong forward workload.
Their integrated transport team spans the whole of the UK and the workload is strong and they have an increasing portfolio of highways projects which means that they are looking to expand. With exciting growth plans in place for both the Transport team and for the wider business, there's never been a better time to consider joining.

Projects are varied and frequently require collaboration with multiple discipline experts across the business. Their projects include a variety of roads and highways schemes from smaller scale local schemes to large national frameworks.

You will play an important role within the team. You will support the production of drainage/highway designs and provision for all types and scales of development projects and assist in securing S278/S38 and S104 technical approvals. You will work with Engineer and Technician colleagues in the effective delivery of outputs to agreed deadlines.

You will liaise with the internal and external clients and design teams on projects and be involved in the delivery and management of successful and timely outcomes. Your role will be varied and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to learn from the wider group and take your career to the next level.
