Principal Building Surveyor

Who will you be joining?
 
You will be joining a Gloucestershire based Local Authority with responsibility for around 100 corporate properties, excluding schools, as part of a team of three Surveyors which you would lead to successfully manage in line with the council's strategic goals and statutory obligations.
 
What will you do?
 
Within this role you will have a versatile list of responsibilities which includes the following:
·Management of 2 Building Surveyors
·Collaboration with the Facilities, Building Services and Energy teams
·Run planned projects using the JCT and NEC framework agreements
·Management of both internal and external resources including contractors
·Overall responsibility for the repairs and maintenance both reactive and planned
·Advise on all property related matters  
 
What do you need?
 
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate the following on application and through the interview process:
 
·Qualified to degree level in Surveying
·Affiliation with relevant industry bodies
·Previous experience of local authority assets
·Experience of managing a corporate portfolio
·A proven track record of project delivery with references to support
·Have previously held a Senior level position with above responsibilities
