Position: Pre Construction Manager   
Location: Kent     
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + package

The role:

As Pre-Construction Manager, you'll be the bridge between planning and delivery-overseeing all pre-construction activities, optimising project strategy, mitigating risks, and ensuring everything is ready for a smooth handover to the construction phase. You'll work closely with design, supply chain, and project teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
 
Key responsibilities:
·Lead multiple projects simultaneously through the pre-construction phase.
·Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.
·Work alongside Project Managers to transition from pricing to contracts.
·Produce initial programmes with P6 Planners.
·Engage with clients to refine project requirements and works information.
·Review project documents for compliance with budget, standards, and constructability.
·Lead pre-bid/bid meetings and post-bid reviews.
·Support estimating with cost analysis and subcontractor bid reviews.
·Identify opportunities to maximise value for clients and the business.
What they're looking for:
 
·Proven experience in water/wastewater treatment projects.
·Strong understanding of AMP frameworks and UK water industry standards.
·Experience working with contractors and/or water utility companies.
·Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and multi-project management skills.
·Knowledge of ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) and process systems (desirable).
