Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in East Anglia in the search for a Town Planning Manager on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will report into the senior executive team and will be tasked with leading the Town Planning department with the support of managers and team Leaders in their respected areas. As well as managing the Development Management, Planning Enforcement, Conservation, and Planning Administration team; you'll also play your part in the wider corporate landscape.

- Can develop a team who are capable, confident and able to continuously improve. In doing this you'll be someone who can delegate, empower and enable your team. Has an eye for opportunity, can maximise income from the service and enable innovation.
- Can work with other teams to maximise the impact they can have on your service.
- Is capable and confident when talking to politicians and other key players.
 
The council work on a flexible basis, which includes working from home and flexi time opportunities, however, it is anticipated that you will be required to be in the office circa 2 days per week.
 
To apply for this role, it is essential that you have worked in a development management local authority planning department at a similar level. You should hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.
