Job description

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in East Anglia in the search for an Interim Planning Enforcement Site Officer to join their Town Planning team on an initial 3-month contract (Part time - 22.5 hours per/week).
This is a great opportunity to progress your professional development in planning enforcement, the role is offered on a part time basis with presence on site required. You should have knowledge of Town Planning legislation with some practical experience of site inspections, including the writing of notes and photographs and dealing with customers.  
Key Accountabilities:
·To carry out site visits on planning enforcement cases.  Taking comprehensive notes and photographs.
·To liaise with the other officers in the team, reporting back on site visits and assisting with basic customer correspondence.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability and Experience:
·Experienced in using information technology
·A good standard of reading and writing and the ability to write comprehensive, clear site visit notes.
·Basic understanding of the planning system.
·Excellent understanding of good customer service.
·Ability to drive, must hold a full driving licence.
It would be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.
Carrington West Pay Rate - £22per/hour
