Job Position: Road Operations Manager
 
My client are a lead company working on the management and maintenance of a significant contract dealing with one of the busiest roads within London.
 
They are looking for an experienced Road Operations Manager to assist with the delivery of the project. The right candidate will be based within their Canning Town office and be experienced in highways operations, either with experience as an Operations Manager or within a Senior Management role within the highways sector and looking for a step up.
 
Day to day responsibilities:
·Manage and develop an effective highway maintenance team, ensuring staff are motivated and fully compliant with safety regulations
·Lead and promote Health and Safety compliance within depot and on highway sites
·Manage the Term Maintenance Contract, monitor and report its progress and oversee general operations
·Ensure contractual obligations are adhered to and quality standards are met
·Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders with effective communication to promote the alignment of goals
·Maintain environmental sustainability practices within highway maintenance operations
·Identify and mitigate operational risks and implement preventative measures and innovative solutions to potential challenges
 
 
Key Requirements:
·Background within operations within the highways sector is essential
·Engineering background beneficial
·Exceptional management and leadership skills
·Strong evidence of ability to manage client relationships
·Desire to take on responsibility of a significant highways project
·SSMTS and CSCS cards
·NVQ or degree level in civil engineering or similar disciplines
·NEBOSH preferred
·Happy to be on call once every 4 weeks
·Within one hours car commute from Canning Town location
·Available to work in depot 5 days a week
