Officer, Senior or Principal Town Planning Officer

I am recruiting exclusively for an authority in the South East Region, for a Maternity Cover for an initial 8-month contract.
 
Possibility of role being placed OUTSIDE IR35 (dependent on test being completed with your circumstances).
 
The manager is looking to take on one member of staff on either of the following options:
 
OPTION 1
To secure a Senior/Principal Planning Officer
·Be the Case Officer for 2 or 3 residential reserved matters applications, with each application expected to have c200 units.
·Be the Case Officer for various condition discharge applications for approved major developments and minor submissions.
·The role would sit within a team working on a large residential scheme of around 6000 units.
·Represent the planning team on various groups that are established by the developer, for example community liaison and transport
Pay Rate - £38-44 per hour dependent on experience
 
OPTION 2
To secure a Planning Officer
The manager covers the more senior work with a temporary internal promotion and then we assist with a backfill at Officer Level to consult and deal with smaller cases & minor applications.
Pay Rate - £28-32 per hour dependent on experience
 
To be successful in this position you MUST BE:
·A Qualified Town Planner with significant experience within a Local Authority Planning Department
·Ability to travel to site for visits
