NEC4 Supervisor
Are you a skilled NEC4 Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity?
About the Role:
NEC Supervisor will manage and oversee works on a major infrastructure project that includes the construction of cycle tracks, new pedestrian crossings, and bus lanes. This project is part of the Transforming Cities Fund Scheme and will be executed under the NEC4 Option C contract.
Key Responsibilities:
·Contract Supervision: Act as the client's representative on-site, ensuring that construction works comply with NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contracts (ECSC) and meet project specifications.
·Safety Assurance: Implement and enforce Health and Safety (H&S) and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), ensuring all work is performed safely.
·Instruction Issuance: Deliver clear verbal and written instructions to contractors, making prompt decisions to facilitate project progression.
·Risk Management: Identify and manage on-site risks, ensuring safe access for the public and workforce, especially in congested urban areas.
·Progress Documentation: Maintain comprehensive progress records in accordance with organizational procedures for project documentation.
·Stakeholder Communication: Engage with the public, business representatives, and stakeholders to address concerns and enhance understanding of the project.
·Design Adaptation: Assist in adapting designs to overcome unforeseen site conditions.
·Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, design teams, client staff, and quantity surveyors to agree on all aspects of the project.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
·Experience: Proven experience in supervising civil engineering construction projects.
·Expertise: Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts, construction specifications, and measurement methods.
·Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with statutory regulations including Chapter 8 TSM, NRSWA, and health and safety regulations.
·Certification: Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card for a professionally qualified person or equivalent.
