Role: Mechanical Supervisor - Water
Location: Barsham, Norfolk
Rate: Up to £425 Umbrella CIS
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 month
Are you an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with water experience ? My client is looking for a dynamic individual to join their water and waste water treatment project team, playing a pivotal role in managing and overseeing mechanical operations on site.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead mechanical operations as part of the site's operational team, specifically in the context of water and waste water treatment facilities.
·Supervise and coordinate staff and subcontractors involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment and systems.
·Act as the key point of contact to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and partners, ensuring all mechanical work aligns with project specifications and water industry standards.
·Assist in the completion of surveys and quality inspections related to pumping stations, filtration systems, piping, valves, and other mechanical water treatment components.
·Provide technical assistance and guidance in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues within water processing and treatment plants.
·Ensure a high level of Health & Safety compliance, particularly in hazardous water treatment environments, with a strong focus on safe working practices around pressurized systems and chemical handling.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in a supervisory role within the water treatment or waste water treatment sector, managing mechanical teams and projects.
·Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in pumps, valves, filtration systems, chemical dosing systems, and other water treatment infrastructure.
·Sound knowledge of Health & Safety protocols specific to water treatment, including confined space entry and handling hazardous materials.
·Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery in a water treatment environment.
