Job Title: Mechanical Fitter - Water    
Location: Glasgow   
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/a plus package
 
Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to bring your expertise to water and wastewater projects across Scotland?
 
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contracts delivery team in Glasgow, working on the installation of pumps, screens, rotating equipment, pipework, valves, and ancillary systems. Key Responsibilities
 
- Carry out mechanical installation of pumps, screens, rotating equipment, and associated pipework across Scotland
- Install and maintain systems including valves and ancillary equipment
- Assemble and fit pipework across PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised, and stainless steel materials
- Work to technical instructions, drawings, and specifications ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors to deliver projects to high standards
- Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
 
What They're Looking For
 
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the water or wastewater industry
- Experience in pipework assembly and installation of pumps including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity types
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to follow and interpret technical information
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of engineering tools, equipment, and materials across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines
- Working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and safe working practices
