Salary: £70,000 - £75,000
 
Job Role: My client is a large firm at the forefront of infrastructure projects on HS2. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with pre-construction experience focusing on ventilation, fire suppression, and public health systems.
Previous experience working on the railway would be extremely beneficial
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead pre-construction phases by providing your expertise in mechanical engineering.
·Oversee the completion of ventilation, fire suppression, and public health systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
·Take charge of procurement package management, ensuring timely and efficient acquisition of materials and equipment.
·Maintain a keen focus on procurement, particularly for ductwork and pipework.
 
Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
·Proven experience in pre-construction phases, demonstrating a deep understanding of mechanical systems.
·Essential expertise in procurement package management, ensuring smooth project flow.
·Familiarity with rail projects and infrastructure, with previous Crossrail experience as a bonus.
·Proficiency in ductwork and pipework procurement, underscoring your mechanical specialization.
·A strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
