Contract Mechanical Asset Surveyor
Live Hospital Project | Surrey
5 Days on Site | 2-3 Month Contract | £300-£350 per day
We're working with a consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Asset Surveyor for a short-term contract on a live hospital site in Surrey, starting end of January 2026.
This is a hands-on role requiring full-time site presence, surveying mechanical assets across the entire hospital estate and producing accurate, high-quality asset data to support ongoing estates and facilities planning.
The Role
You will be responsible for completing detailed mechanical asset surveys across a large, operational healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities include:
·Surveying and recording mechanical assets across the full hospital site
·Capturing accurate asset data including condition, age, specification and compliance
·Working methodically within a live hospital environment, adhering to all site protocols
·Producing clear, structured survey outputs and asset registers
·Liaising with estates teams and project stakeholders as required
Project Details
·Location: Surrey
·Start: End of January 2026
·Duration: 2-3 months
·Site presence: 5 days per week
·Rate: £300-£350 per day
What We're Looking For
·Minimum 4 years' experience in a building services consultancy or contractor environment
·Proven experience carrying out mechanical asset surveys
·Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
·Experience working on live environments; healthcare experience desirable but not essential
·Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet programme deadlines
·Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy
