Role: Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Andover (staying away required)
Salary: £22,000 p/a basic, raising to £26,000 p/a on completion of training + overtime + company vehicle + paid accommodation and food when staying away + night shift allowance

Are you an experienced M&E Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge, or are you somebody with a basic understanding of mechanical equipment looking to start your career in the water sector? My client is currently looking for multiple M&E Maintenance Engineers to join their growing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be working on dewatering equipment at wastewater treatment sites across the UK.
Your role will involve:
·Staggered work pattern, 5-day week with requirement for some weekend working or 10-day fortnight to include alternate weekends.
·To install, operate and maintain our range of Mobile Separation Equipment.
·Optimise machine settings to achieve desired processing parameters.
·Assist Service Engineers when on site or at the company workshop.
·Assist sales department with customer visits and surveys after completion of training.
·Supervise and train subcontract labour, and new starters after completion of training.
·Understand and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to undertaking installation and operating work.
Required Skills:
·Plant operator; must have an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
·Must be able to work unsupervised, sometimes at remote sites.
·Process experience; relevant experience in the water/wastewater or process industry an advantage but not essential.
·Flexible; must be willing to adapt to changing requirements to meet customer demands.
·Customer focused; must be able to communicate at all levels and gain the trust and respect of customers.
·Able to work away from home for periods of up to 10 days (depending on shift pattern). Plant locations include Southampton, Avon Mouth, North Wales and Anglesea.
·Shift work; able to commit to changing shift patterns to meet customer requirements such as staggered starts and night shifts.
·Driving licence; must have a full & clean UK Driver's License.
·Forklift and/or Telehandler licence is an advantage but not essential.
