Lead Local Flood Authority Manager
London
3 month rolling contract
£40 - £45 per hour
 
Are you a LLFA/Drainage Manager looking for a new challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority in London who are seeking a LLFA Manager to join them on a temporary contract basis. This is a full time role and there will be flexibility with remote working.
 
 
Your key responsibilities:
 
1.Appraise major, complex, or basement development planning applications and all ordinary watercourse consent applications with regard to potential future flood risk as LLFA to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and professional requirements, and to advise planners to negotiate improved commitments from developers wherever appropriate.
2.Provide technical assistance and specialist training to team members and partners to ensure they are equipped to deliver their responsibilities and to maintain industry-standard knowledge and experience.
3.Identify and implement flood resilience schemes in line with our commitment to managing climate change, and the SWMP and LFRMS action plans.
4.Identify and implement opportunities for improvements to policy and procedures within the work area in line with our commitment to delivering the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.
5.To update and maintain the flood risk asset register as required under the Flood and Water management Act 2010.
 
 
What is required?
 
·A strong background in highway drainage is essential
