Graduate - Laboratory Technician
Location: Watford
Full time hours:  40 per week
Salary £18000 - £21,000 depending on experience

My client is a leading testing laboratory that cover a range of scientific consultancy services.

In this role you will be working as part of an experienced team and reporting into a laboratory manager.  You will include performing the below tasks

• Gravimetric Analysis
• Sample preparation, analysis and processing 
• Report Writing 

This is would be suited for a candidate with a scientist background ( academic)  who would be looking to start there career in a laboratory based analysis capacity. However it would also be well suited to experience scientific candidates who have had previous laboratory analysis and report writing experience that are looking to develop and expand their skills and experience. Please note this role is a 50 / 50 split across scientific analysis focused around chemical contract and admin / report writing.

It is essential for candidates to have the below:

• Scientific qualification in a subject such as Chemistry, biology, environmental science or similar at an A Level as a minimum, degree level would be advantageous.
• Due to the laboratory location candidates must live in St Albans or be able to commute to St Albans. 

It is not essential but previous experience of carrying out laboratory analysis would be highly advantageous.

On offer is a salary of £18,000 - 21,000 upwards dependant on experience based working a 40 hour week.
