Job description

A strong opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Administrator to join a market leading engineering consultancy in the Southampton area. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and will be an initial 3 month contract with a look to extend.


Responsibilities


·Organise internal and external meetings and events including associated logistics. Liaise with Office Manager's, General Admin, Facilities Management and other IT teams where necessary.
·Assist with project administration support which may include overseeing and maintaining IT documentation, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
·Assist with IT related activities such as onboarding new employees, inductions and leavers if required.
·Provide a flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to prioritise workload. Undertake allocated duties and tasks when required to support the effective operation of the IT team.
·Adhere to GDPR policies and procedure when dealing with personal data.
·Support less experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of the wider team.
·General office administration which includes providing ad hoc support and administrative project work as and when required.
·Support the UK IT team with general administration tasks.  
·Create IT Support tickets in support of the UK's Starter and Leaver process to provide laptops and other IT hardware to new joiners and follow up to have lever's hardware returned.
·Assist to ensure that laptops have a fresh Windows 10 image installed (be IT's hands) and package hardware ready for transportation.
·Follow up with other support teams and the business to ensure all new starter information is in place to supply hardware to the correct locations.
·Follow up with external suppliers for outstanding orders.
·Proactively engage with colleagues to fulfil a range of support requests.
·Demonstrate the necessary knowledge of systems, acting as the first point of contact for questions and queries relating the ne starter process.

·Demonstrates a high level of professionalism.
·Has a proactive approach to stakeholder management and knowledge sharing.
·Adopts a flexible and adaptable approach.
·Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.  
·Extensive experience of providing high quality administrative support.  
·Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
·Excellent working knowledge of Office 365, including Word and Excel.
·Ability to work independently and collaborate with others, providing support to other colleagues during times of heavy workload and absences.
