My client is seeking an intermediate mechanical engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
 
The role will be initially for 3 months with high likelihood of extension following this. This role is inside IR35
 
Office hours: 37.5 per week with flexible working from home available.
 
The role will be based in Epsom within the Building Services team, covering a full spectrum of environmental, mechanical and electrical engineering design and consultancy services both locally and nationally and globally.
 
Requirements
 
·Experience working in a design consultancy - experience of working within a contractor environment is additionally welcome
·High level of technical skill in Mechanical Building Services is essential
·Good level of computer literacy in Windows, IES, NBS, Hevacomp, CAD, Revit and Microsoft packages
·Wider knowledge of other disciplines is desirable
·Able to see wider picture outside own discipline in projects
·Able to understand and express technical concepts in written and verbal language
·Able to innovate new solutions as well as applying existing solutions to problems
·Be willing to be mobile, travel within the UK for project related work when required  
·Due to the nature of projects, you must be eligible for security clearance and will be provided to undergo a security vetting process
 
Responsibilities
 
·To undertake Mechanical Building Services design on UK and international projects with a good understanding of International standards
·Preparation of design calculations on industry standard software
·Preparation of technical specifications
·Carrying out design calculations on a variety of buildings
·Preparing drawings
·Report and Specification writing
·Maintaining records and archives to company standards
·Conducting design on a variety of buildings within different sectors i.e. schools, hotels, offices, leisure facilities, MOD buildings, transportation buildings, airports etc
·Site surveys and inspections
·Ensure Mechanical design quality is maintained
