Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Highways and Transport to join them on an ongoing Contract.  
 
Key Responsibilities:

·Oversee England's largest Highways maintenance contract procurement.

·Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Highways & Transport function, ensuring strong Business as Usual delivery during a period of significant change.

·Ensure delivery of major capital programmes, sustainable transport initiatives and statutory services, maintaining financial discipline and performance excellence.

·Lead preparations for Local Government Reorganisation and devolution, including the planned disaggregation of Transport and Highways Authority functions to new bodies.

·Oversee contractual performance of the Council's flagship Highways maintenance partnership
