Highways SHEQ Advisor
 
Job Title: SHEQ Advisor
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £36,750 per annum  
Car Allowance: £5,000

Role Overview:
 
As the SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, quality, and environmental standards of our company are upheld. You will assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of our SHEQ policies through site audits, on-site coaching, and formal training sessions.
 
You will also be responsible for carrying out an ongoing programme of site audits throughout the UK, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all my client works and regular auditing of supervisors.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
- Collaborate with site management to meet all training needs for anticipated workloads.
- Conduct Safety Induction Training for all new starters.
- Provide Basic Competence Training for new starters, including ongoing refresher sessions in:
  - Manual handling awareness and safe lifting techniques
  - Banksman training
  - Safe excavation and cable avoidance techniques
  - Environmental awareness
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation, industry standards, and My client policies.
- Accurately report on all SHEQ matters.
- Conduct ad-hoc training sessions as required.
- Offer SHEQ support services to site crews.
- Assist the SHEQ Manager as needed.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
- Experience in Civil Engineering (Highways Industry).
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
- CSCS Card.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
