Setting Out Engineer - Major Civil Engineering Project
Take ownership of a high-value civil engineering build from day one.
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be working on a significant infrastructure project at construction stage, giving you long-term stability, technical challenge and the chance to see a complex scheme delivered from start to finish.

What you will be doing
In your role as a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely and to specification. You will be doing the following:
·Setting out for highways, structures and associated civil engineering works
·Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and design data
·Carrying out surveys, checks and as-built records
·Maintaining site control and ensuring tolerances are achieved
·Working closely with site management and subcontractors
·Supporting quality assurance processes and health & safety standards
·Resolving technical and setting out issues as they arise on site
What you will need to succeed
To be successful as a Setting Out Engineer, you will bring:
·Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or highways projects
·Strong knowledge of setting out techniques and surveying equipment (GPS, total station)
·Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
·A proactive and solutions-focused approach on site
·A relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
·Full right to work in the UK

·Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
