I'm currently recruiting for an experience Highway Project Manger for a consultancy in Oxfordshire.

The Project Manager will work with close-knit design and construction teams, supported by commercial colleagues to develop and deliver a wide range of highway and transport infrastructure projects. These range from small scale city centre cycling & pedestrian improvements aimed at promoting active travel, through to major new highway infrastructure and sustainable transport projects.

 
My client is offering a 12-month contract, which will likely be extended.
 
The Role
·Work closely with colleagues in delivering projects on time; to budget and in line with the scheme objectives and outcomes
·Fully integrate with the design, commercial and construction teams to plan and implement these schemes from 'start to finish' in compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives
·Consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all stages of scheme development.
·Ensure that processes and procedures are followed, and regular progress meetings are held to keep all key people updated and informed
·Manage risk and project updates using programming tools (Asta) and risk management software
· Produce robust cost estimates at Gateway stages and ensure Gateway sign offs
·Administer projects in accordance with the contract
 
The Ideal Candidate
·Track record of project managing highways and transport projects, working with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
·Experience of working with a Local Authority client and other key stakeholder organisations e.g., National Highways, Environment Agency, Network Rail.
·Excellent communication skills
·Methodical work approach and ability to manage multiple projects
·Ability to prioritise and collaborate across teams, external consultants, and county council clients
·Project Management qualifications highly desirable
