Civils General Foreman - Lead from the Front on Major Civil Engineering Schemes

What you will be doing as a Civils General Foreman
In this Civils General Foreman position, you will be responsible for supervising all on-site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with specifications. You will be:
·Independently carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks
·Leading by example on Health, Safety and Environmental standards
·Ensuring works comply with approved RAMS and delivering RAMS briefings
·Completing daily and weekly permits such as PUWER, LOLER and Permit to Dig
·Supervising direct labour and subcontractor teams across all activities
·Fulfilling the role of Temporary Works Supervisor when required
·Coordinating daily site activities, allocating gangs and supervision
·Tracking daily production through accurate site diaries
·Planning resources in advance and communicating requirements clearly
·Managing plant, equipment hire and off-hire efficiently
·Driving progress to achieve delivery on time and within budget
·Maintaining accurate measurement records to support the QS team
·Supporting monthly CVR reporting with transparency and accuracy
·Identifying risks, opportunities, efficiencies and innovations on site
·Carrying out site inspections, QA checks and ITP compliance
·Coordinating deliveries, materials checks and logistics
·Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers and third parties
·Ensuring high standards across the supply chain through strong leadership
As a Civils General Foreman, you will play a critical role in defect-free delivery and collaborative planning across the project team.

What you will need to bring
To succeed as a Civils General Foreman, you will have:
·Proven experience delivering large civil engineering schemes (highways, drainage and structures)
·Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and site-based systems
·CSCS card (minimum Gold standard)
·SMSTS qualification
·A solid understanding of site HSE procedures and QA requirements
·A full UK driving licence (clean or low points)
Confined space training, street works qualifications and First Aid at Work are desirable but not essential.
