What you'll be doing
As a Highways Contracts Manager, you'll oversee a portfolio of projects from pre-contract through to delivery, ensuring that safety, quality, environmental, and financial targets are consistently achieved. You will:
·Manage multiple highways and structures projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
·Lead pre-contract planning and coordination with estimators to ensure accurate costings and resourcing.
·Prepare and oversee contract plans, safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
·Provide input at regional management and planning meetings, influencing key decisions.
·Implement company SHEQ policies and drive compliance across all project teams.
·Maintain and update the CRM and SLIDS databases with relevant contractual information.
·Oversee accurate record keeping, reporting, and archiving of all project documentation.
 
 
What you'll bring
To succeed as a Highways Contracts Manager, you'll need:
·Proven experience managing multiple construction sites in a similar role.
·Strong experience in highways bridge maintenance and concrete repair projects.
·A solid background in highways structures and infrastructure delivery.
·Strong planning, programming, and financial management skills.
·Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
·Competence in Microsoft Office and modern project management tools.
·A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to develop and lead others.
·To live within a commutable distance of Bristol.
