Site Supervisor - Highways
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Benefits
Location: Chelmsford (covering Essex)

Contract Type: Permanent

We're working with a leading highways contractor who are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their Major Schemes team in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in highways or civil engineering to take ownership of projects that make a real difference across the Essex network.
As Site Supervisor, you'll oversee subcontractors on a variety of highway reconstruction and drainage schemes, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll play a key role in maintaining site records, driving compliance, and promoting best practice in health, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities-
·Supervise allocated site works across highways schemes
·Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
·Enforce compliance with Health & Safety regulations and CDM requirements
·Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH documentation
·Uphold company standards in quality, safety, and environmental procedures

Experience Required-
We're keen to hear from candidates with:
·A background in construction, ideally highways or civil engineering
·Proven experience supervising construction sites
·Knowledge of working around underground services
·Experience in traffic management and/or carriageway construction (preferred)
·Strong communication skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and drive performance
