Managing Quantity Surveyor - Highways | Bristol | Hybrid Working
My client, a leading civil engineering organisation, is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in the South West. Renowned for delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport infrastructure across the UK, they are now strengthening their commercial capability on a high-profile programme of highways works in the region.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior commercial lead on a major infrastructure programme, offering long-term career prospects and the chance to shape the delivery of vital public works across the region.
My client is currently delivering a number of significant schemes across the South West.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the commercial management of flagship highways projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and effective risk and opportunity management
·Oversee procurement activities, manage project reporting and cost control processes
·Support the Commercial Manager in driving commercial excellence and implementing best practices
·Build and lead the commercial team based in Bristol, mentoring junior staff and creating a high-performance culture

Candidate Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor in highways or civil engineering projects
·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and cost management systems
·Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop commercial teams
·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
·Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
·Professional membership with RICS or CICES (preferred)
