Highways Inspector
 
What we need:
 
Our client are a London based local working closely with Carrington West to find a Highways Safety Inspector to join an exciting and busy Highways maintenance team.

What you will be doing:

·Assist in a team of Highway Inspectors who are continually managing the safety of the Network managed by the council.
·Be involved with the Inspections as well as site visits and involving elements of checking networks safety to effectively meet the Councils Network Management duties.
·Assist the budget holder by providing financial reports and financial information to the Highway Maintenance Manager.
·Ensure that actions of the inspectors assist in minimising claims and litigation opportunities by fully documenting all observations from site visits/investigations and ensuring appropriate actions are taken in accordance with documented procedures.
·Work in the Inspection team in an effective and efficient manner, planning, inspection, investigations and analysis and to also effectively oversee the works carried out by third party contractor.

What you need to succeed:
 
·Must hold City & Guilds in Highway Inspection or comparable IHE qualification
·Must have a Valid driving licence and owns means of transport
·Availability for outside normal hours of work.
·Must have at least 2 years' experience as a Highway Inspector.
·Strong written and verbal skills and acumen.
