Carrington West are delighted to be working with one of the most exciting Smart Metering businesses in the UK whit specific focus on servicing Industrial and Commercial customers, to fine a head of Metering SUpport on a permanent basis.
 
The role will report into the Metering Services Director and will be responsible for all support activities that underpin the company's metering services business.  The successful Head of Metering Support will lead a multi-disciplinary team encompassing customer appointment management and work flow, industry data flow management and field services.
 
 Duties & Responsibilities 
 
·Oversee the forecasting and scheduling of engineers actively working in the field, ensuring their time is managed effectively with both internal workforce and outsource partner
·Ensure that the MOP/MAM/MAP data flows are adhered to ensuring compliance with industry standards
·Accountable for supply chain and stock management including 3rd party management, ordering and budget responsibility across multiple suppliers and vendors
·Management of back office and exception management functions including stock and equipment ordering, payroll, and training
·Compilation of management data, collation of reports on performance against customers contracts
·Responsibility of a multi-disciplinary team of c80 direct and indirect staff across two locations
·Development of skill strategy to meet current and future technical needs including expansion into new markets
·Develop a resourcing strategy that includes direct, indirect, multi-skilled and apprenticeships to ensure we can meet 2021 growth targets
·Provision of key data and information and main interface to support metering services bid tenders
·Liaison with key stakeholders to capture and assess requirements for future system development and ongoing process improvement   
·Analysis of data to improve the decision-making process and implement change to improve performance and commercial performance
·Ensure root cause analysis is undertaken to improve customer outcomes and customer experience
·Budgetary control for people, procurement and indirectly for revenue generating activities
 
Skills & Experience 
·Experience of leading large multi-disciplinary teams across multiple locations
·Experience of 3rd party management
·Relevant industry experience including supporting field operations
·Previous project management experience is desirable
·Strong organisational and communication skills 
·Experience in working in fast paced, dynamic environment; comfortable in operating at strategic and operational level
·Innovative & can improve processes 
·Problem-solving skills
·Previous budget responsibility

The role will offer some flexible working, but will require the successful Metering Support Manager to be in Milton Keynes 2-3 times a week or for important events.
