Job description

Do you have experience of architecture design of full CCS rail systems?
 
Would you like to lead the CCS solutions for HS2?
 
Location: London or Birmingham
Rate: £600-£650 day inside IR35
Contract length: 6 months with extensions
 
This is a rare opportunity to work client side on HS2 leading and developing the architectural design solution of the CCS signalling system. The ideal candidate must have full understanding of complete CCS systems including interlocking, control systems, trackside train detection and ideally ETCS/ATO and not just singular systems.
 
You will be leading on tendering solutions and being the architect to what is the outcome of the CCS system. This would be the equivalent to GRIP 4 of NR stage.
 
The main CCS contract for HS2 will be awarded in the next 6 months so experience of updating system specifications and supporting negotiation of contract will be a large part of the role.
 
The ideal candidate would of lead design on one of the major resignalling frameworks or projects such as crossrail, Victoria, Cambridge, Birmingham New Street etc.
 
A key part of this role will be to look at integration of other disciplines but also mitigate safety risk, working knowledge of CSM and CDM is required.
 
This role would suit someone who has worked as signalling design lead, CEM, CRE or DPE from a design perspective.
