Role: Clean Water Networks - GIS Mapping coordinator
Location: Swindon but also available from Exeter
Salary: £21,000- £30,000
 
My client is a leading water sector consultancy and they are looking to strengthen their team in Swindon but this role is also available from Exeter.
 
This role would suit a fresh graduate who has academic experience covering Arc GIS  looking to kick start their career with a company who offered a structured training and development program.  Alternatively an experienced engineer who is looking to grow develop their career would also be well suited to this role.
 
You will be working as part of an experienced team attached to the delivery of water AMP7 projects specifically around clean water networks. You will be working along side a data analyst who will identify problem areas with in the network which is typically due to high levels of leakage in the pipelines. Your role will be focused around GIS to identify where assets are located and identify if there will be any access issues to carry out engineering works.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately.
·Processing new orders and supporting with quality checking of deliverables.
·Monitoring team inbox to support with flow of orders and resolve queries.
·Audit/quality check the work carried out by colleagues.
·Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships.
·Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team's processes.
·Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients.
·To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required.
·Supporting other teams within our practice as required.
 
Skills & Experience:
·Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
·Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
·Clear, concise communication skills.
·Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
·Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
·Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
·A high level of organisation and professionalism.
·Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment.
·Prior experience or knowledge of utilizing technology for process efficiencies.
·Experience in a client facing role.
 
 
On offer is a salary of £21,000 upwards for graduate level candidates please if candidates have previous clean water consultancy experience the salary range would be £24,000 upwards,
 
Please note there is some flexible working available but you will need to provide a minimum of 3 days per week office presence.
