Role: GIS Consultant
Location: Crawley, South East
Salary: £30,00 to £50,000 dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
My client, who is one of the biggest engineering and utility services in the UK, is looking for an experienced GIS Consultant to join their growing team.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
 
·Using your skills and expertise to help customers be successful with the ArcGIS Platform. Supporting them in its installation, configuration and use.
·Developing desktop, web and mobile application using Esri technology.
·Consulting with clients to really understand their requirements and deliver GIS-based solutions to both time and budget.
·Technical advisor helping develop GIS best practice in the company.
·Providing technical input and guidance to the business development and sales teams.
·Keeping up to date with changes to the ArcGIS platform, finding new ways it can be used to solve clients' real-world problems.
·Collating GIS information, converting data from differing sources, such as Autodesk DWGs.
·Managing ArcGIS online portal and dividing as needed across clients.
·Developing desktop, web and mobile application using Esri technology.
·Working with Vislock GIS element to implement and develop improvements.
·Working with high precision GNSS systems and Augmented Reality.
 
Skills/Experience:
Essential:
 
·Hands-on Experience of using ESRI platform and a passion for GIS.
·Driven to innovate and improve workflows with new technology, such as Augmented Reality and GIS.
·Ability to work with hardware and software to create GIS systems.
·3 Years or more experience in ESRI ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS Online Portal.
·Able to convert and manipulate data from Autodesk DWG format to custom GIS files with relevant look and metadata.
·Use your skills and expertise to help customers be successful with the ArcGIS Platform with Vislock. Supporting them in its installation, configuration and use.
·This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritising workloads.
·Be adaptable and able to multi-task.
·Adept at Microsoft Office applications.
·Strong communication skills with the confidence to brief work teams.
·Will have experience establishing and developing relationships with clients.
·Right to Work in UK & English speaking.
 
Desirable:
 
·Experienced working with ESRI Apps, such as:
o Field Maps
o Survey123
o Workforce
o Quick Capture
o Site Scan
·Able to code with Python and ArcPy to automate certain workflows.
·Autodesk AutoCAD Experience.
·Experience of integrating GIS systems and Augmented Reality.
·CSCS Card for site visits to construction sites.
·Experienced in managing and growing new GIS offerings.
·Experienced in clients interactions to understand their requirements.
