Are you an experienced Foreman looking to add value to a rapidly growing company?
Due to our continued success and growth, we have an immediate opportunity for a Groundworks Foreman.
My client, a civil contractor attached to the Severn Trent Water framework are looking for a Groundworks foreman to join them on their Water Sector projects.
The business have just secured multiple schemes on the framework. These are to cover infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects and will cover a range of sites in Nottinghamshire.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the UK Water Sector for a contractor working on a utility company framework, and has 10+ years in the construction industry in a similar.
While reporting to the Site Manager you will also benefit from the support and guidance of our wider team.
The Role
 
·Reporting to the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the construction site, including sub-contractors, health and safety of personnel, quality and workmanship of labour.
·Responsible for the overall management and day to day running of groundworks operations/up to slab.
·Designing the short-term construction and scheduling programme to maximise efficiency and ensure completion is in accordance with the schedule.
·Management responsibilities for all Health and Safety policies and procedure.
·Management of sub -contractors, managing our teams, dealing with any issues as and when required.
·Working collaboratively with site engineer to ensure that line and level is provided in a timely manner
·Quality management of all substructure works including drainage, foundations, roads etc.
·Responsible for all document control as an integral part of the project control
·Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies and procedures.

The Experience
 
·Current health and safety card (CSR|CSCS|Safepass or equivalent) to supervisor level and a First Aid at Work certificate.
·10+ years' experience in a similar position
·Previous assignment working on projects that are on behalf of a water utility company
