GENERAL FOREMAN
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee all on-site operations, ensuring they are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with required standards. The successful candidate will manage project timelines, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure quality control throughout all stages of construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Site Management Oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
·Safety Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure all site activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
·Team Coordination Supervise and motivate site personnel, including subcontractors and laborers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
·Quality Control Monitor work quality, ensuring all work meets the specified standards and client expectations.
ABOUT YOU
You are a driven, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and over 5 years of supervisory experience in civil engineering. You excel in a team environment and have a proven track record of managing successful construction projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
·Certification:
oCSCS Gold Card Holder
oSMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
oNRSWA Supervisor (New Roads and Street Works Act)
oConfined Spaces Training
oFirst Aid Certification
oTemporary Works Supervisor
oLift Supervisor
oIOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) Buried Services Management
·Technical Skills:
oProficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
oExperience working in Civil Engineering and Earthworks
oCapable of understanding tender plant/labor allocations and outputs
oAbility to produce and maintain detailed daily records
·Personal Attributes:
oStrong leadership and team management skills
oExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities
oHigh attention to detail and organizational skills
oProblem-solving mindset and ability to make decisions under pressure
