Are you a experienced in Equipment Maintenance and managing practical issues in an office/on site?

Are you looking to work for an SME that will provide you a fast paced and varied job role?

A leading multi-disciplinary Scientific Consultancy in the Rail sector have a vacancy for an Equipment Manager to join their team in Northwest London near Wembley.

Location: North London, some travel required - mostly on the M25. Use of vehicle for work purposes. This role will be site/office based 5 days per week.
Salary: £30,000 to £33,000

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supply and maintenance of sufficient equipment required for the business.
  • Ensuring suitable recourse for vehicle fleet for the business.
  • Ensuring all business facilities are well kept, good state of repair, and well presented.
  • Be trained in becoming a fire warden.
  • Contribute to maintaining excellent health and safety standards across all premises.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience of equipment management/maintenance/repairs.
  • Practical abilities to manage tasks such a changing a lightbulb/sorting plumbing issues (or having the organisational skills to source external support).
  • Be able to work independently, be well organised, and prioritise.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to work with a variety of individuals including office staff, site staff, external contractors etc.
  • Have a full UK driving license.
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Qualification in a trade such as electrician/plumber desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Be capable of handling heavy items.
