Carrington West are delighted to be working alongside our client, a leading design and build Tier 1 contractor who are looking for an Environmental Advisor or Manager to come on board and help manage a variety of projects they are currently involved in. This is a permanent position that will bring the opportunity to work with one of the largest contractors in the country and open up the potential for further career progression and development.
 
The company work across a variety of sectors including Water and Environmental, Marine and Defence and Energy and Power. The successful candidate will help to undertake environmental assessments and audits on anywhere up to 10 to 15 projects at a time across. This role will encompass travelling to various sites where these projects are taking place and completing audits and providing support and advice to site teams around the environmental impacts and responsibilities of projects, ensuring they are adhering to agreed principles.
 
Candidates must be will to travel to the location of sites on a regular basis and on occasion may be required to stay away from home. These projects span the entire UK so it is essential anyone applying for this role is comfortable with frequent travel and happy to be away from home as necessary.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Environmental assessment and advice and ideally come from a civils or infrastructure background.
 
Whilst it would be preferable to be based in the South East of England, there is a large degree of flexibility in terms of base location.
