Job description

Opportunity for an experienced Electrical Building Services design Engineer to work on a significant Defence framework in Scotland.
 
This role is based in Warrington and has generous home working options, however you will need to reside in a commutable distance from the Warrington office. You will be part of a wider team, spread across the North and Scotland to deliver major projects.
 
This is a 7-year framework to deliver specialist technical services valued between £250-400 million to support DIO, Navy Command and other MOD organisations.
 
There is a critical need to a British National and be eligible for security clearance to be considered for this position.
 
Key requirements
 
·Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
·Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IET.
·Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, NBS and Microsoft packages. Any HV tools will be beneficial.
·Aware of energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising new and existing buildings.
·Some knowledge of energy and carbon related data capture and analytics.
·Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches.
·Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.
·Good knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
·Able to take charge of personal project deliverables
·Good report writing skills
·Experience of attending meetings with and presenting to clients
