Document Controller-
Salary: £30,000-£40,000
Location: Milton Keynes
- Flexible working arrangements
- 31 days annual leave (Not including bank holidays)
 
We are looking for an experienced Document Controller, preferably with a Highways or Civil Engineering background to work for one of the top consultancies operating across the country.
You must a sound understanding of Document Control Management requirements with a minimum of 2 years' experience, you will highly organised with an attention to detail and strong communication skills with ability to be assertive when required.
The Document Control Specialist will manage the accurate receipt, filing, and distribution of documents and maintain up-to-date registers. They will create relevant registers for site teams, ensure documentation is approved and controlled, and maintain methodical records of drawings and documentation. The successful candidate will manage workflows, run reports, and provide data for performance dashboards using company systems. They will provide guidance to team members on system use, assist with business improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with audits. Additionally, they will ensure appropriate adoption and use of 3rd party collaborative systems and data formats.
·Accurate up to date registers of documents.
·Monthly reporting for internal and external meetings.
·Work must be carried out utilising the procedures, guidance and forms contained within the corporate Business Management System (BMS).
·Knowledge of the Document Control process at operational level is vital.
·Create relevant register(s) for site teams.
·Ensure documentation is approved prior to issue.
·Ensure all registers are up to date and completed correctly prior to internal and external auditing.
·Ensure that change control of revision status is recorded and easily traceable and identified.
·Ensure that latest revision of live documentation is available and distributed to relevant group at point of use.
·Ensure external documentation is identified and distributed as required.
·Ensure all drawings / documentation is controlled and maintained in a methodical manner.
·Run reports for project teams and Senior Leaders.
·Provide data for performance dashboards.
·Use of Company systems including Viewpoint for Projects, Fieldview, CEMAR, Oracle and Office 365.
·Provide guidance and mentoring to other team members on the correct use of company systems.
·Assist Business Improvement Initiatives including working groups and trials of new systems or policies.
