Job Title:Divisional Director -Public Sector South
 
Reports to: Transport Sector Director
 
Main Purpose of the Job
 
Responsible for the development and delivery of the Transport sector business plan focussed on Public Sector clients in the South in agreement with the Sector Director for the business. To achieve the sector plan, the role will be responsible for the growth, development and co-ordination of Group Transport resources and capability. The role holder must identify potential clients and liaise with the Sector Director and Mobility Director to define market and client development strategies.
 
Main Objectives
·Assist Sector Director in the delivery of the Highways and Transport sector business plan for south of England.
·Growth and co-ordination of Highways and Transport Unit resources and capability.
·Identify potential clients and liaise with the Sector Director/Mobility Director to define market and client development strategies.
·Management of department and staff.
·Grow the company offering with public sector local, regional and national clients using existing routes to market and develop new clients and routes to market.
·Ensure bids submitted reflect client requirements and are prepared and submitted in compliance with company procedures and incorporate legal and commercial reviews as appropriate.
·Perform duties of Project Director, and Project Manager on major projects.
·Mobilise resources from supporting departments as required.
·Develop and maintain departmental systems and procedures.
·Promote close work across Group and development of PF Consultants.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
 
·Responsible for assisting the Sector Director with the formation and production of the sector business plan focussed on the south of England
·Responsible for working company marketing to ensure support is provided where required
·Ensure bids submitted reflect client requirements and are prepared and submitted in compliance with company procedures and incorporate legal and commercial reviews as appropriate
·Assist in the preparation of sector and pre-quals, bids and tenders as required
·Mobilise resources from supporting departments as required
·Develop and maintain departmental systems and procedures
·Responsible for team resource utilisation, development and training
·Accountable for the review of Project Manager project delivery within time and budget
·Undertake project management duties and the preparation of fee estimates
·Report and Manage exceptional matters with the Sector Director and Business Unit Director
·Ensure Department's compliance with Company Policies, IMS / BMS Procedures and all relevant Standards
 
·Maintain and develop good working relationships with clients
·Contribute to the Company's development via the Executive Management Team
·Mobilise resources from supporting departments as required
·Promote close working across the group
·Be accountable for the delivery of the business plan including agreed revenue, margins and staff utilisation.
