A major London local authority is undertaking a crucial project to address their housing disrepair cases, an issue that has become a significant challenge across the sector. You will be joining a newly bolstered team dedicated to resolving these issues efficiently and effectively.
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days in the office per week required.

In this role, you will:
·Manage a substantial caseload of housing disrepair claims, working to reduce overall numbers.

·Liaise with surveyors to arrange inspections and with contractors to ensure works are completed.

·Maintain accurate and detailed records on the case management system.
·Work collaboratively with the surveyors and the wider team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
·Proactively manage your diary to meet deadlines and progress your cases effectively.

You will need:
·Proven experience as a Case Officer within the social housing sector (ideally 3+ years).
·Experience managing a high-volume case load, specifically related to housing disrepair.
·A strong understanding of the legal disrepair process and relevant housing legislation.
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
·The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
